Thirsty Thursday {Holiday part 3}

Twas the Thursday before Christmas, and houses everywhere

Are stocking their cabinets, With liquor and beer.

Drinks will be poured into everyone’s glass

Soon they’ll be drunk, and will fall on their ass

We will toast to the end and the start of a year

Filled with happiness, love, lots of laughter and cheer

So raise your glass towards the sky, Scream with all of your might

“Happy Thirsty Thursday to all, And to all to all a good night!”

Thirsty Thursday {Halloween part 1}

What’s a Halloween party without fun and festive drinks?

Throughout the month of October, I am dedicating “Thirsty Thursday” to Halloween candy favorites..in drink form.

Starting with the most popular candy of all, Candy Corn!

Candy Corn Martini

Makes 2 drinks.

Step 1. Combine 1/2 cup candy corn with 1.5 cups of Vodka in a sealed container and set aside for 3 hours.

Step 2: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add

  • 2 ounce Triple sec,
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 Tablespoons liquid egg whites

Step 3: Strain infused Vodka into cocktail shaker

Step 4: Vigorously shake for 30 seconds.

Step 5: Strain into chilled martini glass with candy corn garnish.

Prefer a shot?

Pop Rock Shots

Step 1: Rim shot glass with Pop Rocks candy (any flavor)

Step 2: Fill shot glass with Vodka, Rum, or Tequila

or choose flavored vodka to match pop rock candy

Thirsty Thursday {Flavors of Fall}

I am loving that so many of you are looking forward to Fall just as much as I am! But I can’t help but wonder…

Is your excitement due to the fact that Pumpkin flavored coffee will soon be available in coffee shops nationwide?

Thought so. No shame. I’m right there with ya!

Until then, I’ve settled for an equally delicious combination of French Vanilla with a dash of cinnamon and Truvia.

So..Hurricane Irene is about to rear her ugly head straight into my birthday weekend, and what better way to welcome her than with some strong cocktails?

Maybe she’s a light weight and will pass out before she reaches Boston. We can only hope. But, since that doesn’t seem to be the case, let’s get the drinks ready shall well?

Thirsty Thursday {Berry}

It’s no surprise that I genuinely enjoy a good drink. I mean, these photos alone make me a little excited that tomorrow is Friday.

A glass of wine, a sweet martini, a frosty Pina Colada or even a plain shot will do if I’m in the mood.

Before you go jumping to conclusions…No I am not an alcoholic. I am also not that girl who claims “I don’t need alcohol to have a good time”

Who doesn’t like to let loose once in a while?  We deserve it after a hard and stressful work week.

So, judging by the name of my blog, it would only be appropriate to celebrate Thirsty Thursday with a tribute to the happy juice. Each week I will share 3 beverages that I enjoy and that I think you will enjoy as well.

It’s almost the weekend, so let’s get started!

This week’s flavor is…BERRIES! My Fav.

Drink #1 Raspberry-Lemonade Martini

  • 1.5 oz Raspberry Vodka
  • Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Sprite zero

Drink # 2 Blueberry-Lemonade Martini

  • 1.5oz Blueberry Vodka
  • 1 packet Lemonade Crystal Light
  • Splash of Sprite Zero

Drink # 3 Pomegranate Citrus  Martini

  • 1.5oz Citrus Vodka
  • Fresh lemon Juice
  • 3 ounces Pom Pomegranate Juice

Pour all ingredients into a chilled Martini Glass and sweeten the rim with Truvia or Stevia. I like to add frozen berries to the mix as well.

Enjoy! And remember, drink responsibly Smile
