Monday was our last day in Florida and we spent the afternoon laying by the pool. We had intended on meeting up with our friends in the evening to bar hop the countries in Epcot, catch the Illuminations show at 9pm and then head over to the Boardwalk for a bit.
Around 5:00, Matt and I drove over to the Sheraton Safari Hotel to meet up with everyone and go down the snake water slide.
Finally ready to go at 6:30, our relaxing evening had suddenly changed. One of our friends who lives in Florida was able to get us a hopper pass to all of the parks…For Free! This meant that we had 6 hours to run around Disney and do much as possible.
We strategized our plan, hoped in the car, and were off!

We have all been to Disney multiple times before, so we knew which rides we wanted to hit. Even though we did not get to do much at each park, catching both firework shows and the electrical parade made up for it.
By the end of the night, our feet were throbbing. We had successfully done Disney World in 6 hrs. We got home around 3am and awoke by 6:30 to catch our 9am flight. I am beyond thankful that I have the rest of the week off.
It was the perfect little vacation with lots of great memories, yummy food and PLENTY of exercise. We plan on visiting his grandmother again in the fall. This time, I’ll bring better shoes.
