Behind our hotel in Lancaster was a breathtaking view that resembled a canvas painting.
I couldn’t have been in a better place during the first official week of Autumn
Matt and I wanted to try to catch the sunrise over the hotel backdrop but, yet again, the clouds got in the way. However it was still nice to enjoy the peaceful morning, clean air and beautiful setting.
And since we were up at 6am, why not get workout in?
I was actually very impressed with the hotel gym, which had a ton of strength training machines, dumbbells and cardio equipment.
It felt great to sweat out some of the alcohol from the night before. Nothing like a sweaty cleanse to start the day off right.
I completed a 30 minute interval workout; 2 minute moderate intensity, 1 minute high intensity, while Matt watched the news and photographed the gym. ![]()
By mid morning, my family and I were on our way to my uncle’s farm in Vermont. I was excited to see the animals, and of course, get some homemade maple syrup!
Hi Babe!
Matt would love to live on a farm, with acres of land and extreme privacy. While I don’t see us living in Vermont with tractors in our driveway and a barn full of pigs, I think we will find a happy medium. And I guess I wouldn’t mind having organic milk, eggs, and produce right in my own backyard ![]()
Time seems to move slower up north, and the quaint and simple way of living is such a refreshing change of pace.
We had a long drive ahead of us, so we hit the road and enjoyed the scenery that surrounded our car for miles.
There are pro’s and con’s to country vs.city living, however the one thing that the country has and the city lacks, are views like this.
Luckily, I live in a place where I get to experience both.
