Because Matt and I live in an apartment complex, any packaged items that I have shipped get sent to my parents, who conveniently live about 5 minutes away. When my mom called to tell me that I had two boxes waiting for me at the house, I knew exactly what they contained.

As my mom and I chatted over coffee, I remembered that I had a crock pot lying around the house somewhere that I needed to find a.s.a.p.
crock pot dinners are a must come Fall
After some poking around and lifting of boxes, my mom finally spotted it sitting on a shelf in the garage.
A little rusted on the bottom, but it works just fine.
Along with my crock, I also came across a pair of 12lb dumbbells, unused Fall decorations, and a few extra Yoga mats that are all of use to me!
It was like Christmas on a random Friday afternoon.
Not a bad way to start the weekend

I always love going back to my parents house and coming across random things that I left behind when I moved… it’s like finding a 20 dollar bill in your jacket pocket. And can you believe that I’ve never used a crock pot? We had one when I still lived at home with my parents, but even then my mom hardly used it. I don’t know why, since she was always complaining that she didn’t have enough time to cook…
I really havent used it that much either, but I’m motivated to put it to use haha. I have a few recipes up my sleeve

Sadly, a crock pot is like the one kitchen appliance I don’t have!!! My roommate has one though, so I’m sure I could use hers! I need to find some easy recipes to start playing with
