A Stormy Circuit

The weather is looking both wet and wild!

So far we’ve experienced torrential downpours, a flood warning, possible hail, and a Tornado watch for multiple counties throughout New England.

Oh Mother Nature, you truly can be a bitch

When unpredictable weather strikes, it’s always better to stay indoors, leaving us to reschedule whatever plans we have to a later date.

Except for our workouts…No excuses my friends Smile

An indoor Total Body Circuit is always doable when the weather seems to be working against us, so lets get started!

A Stormy Circuit

This workout takes about 30 minutes to complete, depending on how many circuit sets you choose to do.

Warm up:

  • 25 Jumping Jacks towards the front wall
  • 25 High Knees towards the right side wall
  • 25 Jumping Jacks towards the back wall
  • 25 Butt Kicks towards the left side wall

Circuit 1: Repeat 2-3x

  • 30 seconds: Push Ups
  • 30 seconds: Mountain Climbers
  • 30 seconds: Back Extension
  • 30 seconds: Mountain Climbers

Circuit 2: Repeat 2-3x

  • 30 seconds: Alternating Lunges
  • 30 second: Jump Squats
  • 30 seconds: Reverse Lunges
  • 30 second: Jump Squats

Circuit 3: Repeat 2-3x

  • 30 seconds: Walking Plank (15 seconds start with right, 15 seconds start with left)
  • 30 seconds: Standing Mountain Climbers
  • 30 seconds: Tricep Dips
  • 30 seconds: Standing Mountain Climbers

Circuit 4: Repeat 2-3x

  • 30 seconds: Static Squat with Jabs
  • 30 seconds: Burpees
  • 30 seconds: Knee Strike (15 seconds right side, 15 seconds left)
  • 30 seconds: Burpees

1 minute Cool Down: Light jog in place

Stretch.

Remember to breathe, keep your core engaged, and watch your form.If you feel yourself getting sloppy, stop, take a deep breath, and start again.
