All of this traveling has left me exhausted, but each trip is well worth the fatigue

“Cape Cod” bush
On the Ferry heading to Martha’s Vineyard!

Where we stayed this weekend.
It may look small from the outside, but this 7 bedroom, 5 bath “cabin” in the woods was absolutely gorgeous.
Matt and I slept in the master sweet, and let me tell you, I could not get my butt out of this bed before 9am.
It was like sleeping on a cloud with a duvet and puffy pillows.
Our first night was spent at Nancy’s, which is an indoor/outdoor restaurant located on Oaks Bluff Harbor.
Salmon salad with pita chip crumbles, tomatoes, cucumbers and Balsamic Vinaigrette.
We sat at the bar for a while before heading over to a Karaoke bar in town. We snagged a high top table with our drinks, and watched people sing their hearts out.
Both the song book and the drinks were no joke.
This ain’t water…
The next morning, I chugged some much needed H2o and made myself a nice cool breakfast.
Plain Chobani with fruit and chopped walnuts. Side of black coffee
Friday morning started off a bit cloudy, so we walked through Edgartown before heading over to the beach
I love unique art like this.
It really is such a beautiful island.
We started to get hungry after all that walking, so we stopped by Skinny’s Fat Sandwich’s to grab some lunch.
Matt’s Italian wrap
My veggie wrap, with chicken.
Both wraps were stuffed with delicious and fresh ingredients. I could only eat half, saving the rest for a mid-day snack.
The sun finally began to shine around 12:30, so we drove over to State Beach and laid in our beach chairs for the rest of the afternoon.
I’m not a beer drinker, but on a hot day, Bud Light Lime is so refreshing.
State Beach is also where you can find the “Jumping Bridge”, a big tourists spot on the island, mainly because it was used in the movie “Jaws”.
Speaking of sharks, on Friday night, we ate at a Mexican restaurant called “Sharky’s Cantina”
I ordered the “Skinny-Rita”, minus the addition of sugar in the lime juice and lemon mix.
The food at Sharky’s was amazing, and their fresh guacamole was the best I’ve ever had.
For my meal, I ordered a mixed green salad topped with grilled chicken and grilled vegetables, using fresh salsa as my dressing.
Matt ordered the “Surf and Turf Burrito”, which was filled with flank steak, grilled shrimp, veggies, salsa and cheese.
We all took a nice long walk around town after this meal, and slept like babies until 9:30 am.
Saturday morning was spent packing up our things and heading back into town to wait for the ferry.
While waiting, we sat at a local ice cream shop that had my favorite flavor..
Purple Cow Frozen Yogurt. The best.

Finally the ferry arrived, and we were on our way home again. It was HOT, and the breeze on the water felt amazing.
We watched a man feed a seagull that was floating gracefully above the ferry, and it was so cool to see.
Martha’s Vineyard truly is a little slice of paradise, and I look forward to going back next year.
Now it’s back to reality!
