A Date with Stairs

Oh Stairmaster.

Our love/hate relationship is one of my favorites.

I paid it a visit today after breakfast, and per usual, I got my butt kicked.

Egg White Chia Oats with blueberries and 1/2 a grapefruit

I completed a 35 minute climb at Level 9, while listening to David Guetta’s station on Pandora Radio. This is mandatory in getting me through this tortuous sweat session.

By the end of my 35 minutes, my butt was tight and my shirt was soaked. I ended with a light 10 minutes on the elliptical and a quick AB routine

AB Workout

Repeat 3-4x

  • 30 second low plank
  • 15 high plank oblique cross overs
  • 15 mountain climbers
  • 30 second low plank

Stretch.

When I arrived home, I got creative with my post workout snack.

  • 1 scoop Sun Warrior Protein powder
  • 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 Tbsp water

spread on an unsalted rice cake, and top with fresh blueberries and strawberries.

Um..YUM!

I may have just created my new favorite snack.

    • I put my oats, chia seeds, cinnamon and about 1/2 cup of water in a bowl and let it sit for 10 minutes or so. Then, I microwave it for 2 minutes, before adding in 1/2 cup of liquid egg whites. Stir the egg whites in and heat for another 2 minutes.
      Time may vary depending on your micro, and whether or not you are using quick or old fashioned oats. Just keep an eye on it while it cooks. :)
