Thirsty Thursday {Vanilla}, Quote of the Day, and a Giant Bowl of Mai Tai

Happy Friday! Finally!

After work, my sister-n-law and I went to iParty to pick up a few decorations for my brother’s 30th birthday Luau this weekend. Now, when I say “a few decorations”, I actually mean that we bought the whole Hawaiian section of the store.

From Leis to coconut bras, punch bowls to bamboo fence décor, it looked as if Hawaii had exploded all over the backseat of our SUV. But, when it come to party’s, “Go big or go home” is what I always say. :)

We plan on making a giant Mai Tai bowl as the main drink of the night.

In the punch bowl will go:

  • 30 oz Light Rum
  • 15 oz Dark Rum
  • 15 oz Orange Juice
  • 15 oz Pineapple Juice
  • Fresh Lime Juice
  • Pineapple slices
  • Orange Slices
  • Cherries

Aloha!

There is a lot of decorating and preparing to be done, so I will leave you with some Thirsty Thursday recipes that I neglecting to post last night. Also, todays Feel Good Friday Quote of the Day!

Enjoy!
